How do you incorporate the downloaded .rar file into the T40 folder ?

  • @Battling:

How do you incorporate the downloaded .rar file into the T40 folder ?

Extract the RAR file and in the T40 Version 3 folder is a T40.gim folder, Copy T40.gim and paste it into your Abattlemap folder.

    when I downloaded this

    Download TMTM Mod Version 3
    http://www.mediafire.com/?wwjdlq5m73egcxa

all I got was the rar file. It is not zipped  so what is there to extract ?

  • Maxo, use 7zip.  Go to 7zip.com and download it.  It’s an extracter that does .rar archives.

  • The file for abattlemap is .exe which is a windows extension.  I am on a macintosh.  Is there a mac version of this or am I out of luck?

Ok, I don’t know what I did, but I extracted the file and then copy the file to my ABattlemap. When I opened it, all I got was a garbled screen of colors. Any idea what I did wrong?

  • It sounds like you may not have the latest version of Battlemap. Are you running 8.0?

  • Is this mac compatible or no?

  • I don’t believe that Abattlemap is mac compatible unfortunately.

  • Although it is possible to download software that will allow you use windows programs on your mac. Don’t know if you want to add that to your mac just to play A&A online (although I guess it has other uses).

I’ve seen a Mac that opens Windows like a program… because Mac’s have intel chips… get windows install as a dual O/S just for Abattlemap :)

    Yep…when I originally downloaded battlemap, I used Holkann’s installer.

I just checked the version and it says 0.80

  • Hmm…that’s odd. I haven’t seen it before myself.

The first thing I would recommend is to reinstall Abattlemap and then paste in the T40 folder again.

Have you heard of this happening before TMTM?

You used Holkann’s installer and placed T40.gim into the Abattlemap folder and closed and reopened Abattlemap and when to New and selected the module “Axis & Allies: Global 1940 Alpha+.2 AxisandAllies.us Version 3” and it messes up? Have you retried it after rebooting? Tell me about your computer… windows version and memory size etc

  • When you click File - About… does it say 0.80 alpha1?

  • @TMTM:

That is what it says TM….however, I just got lucky. I downloaded IE9 the other day and still working on understanding how it works. It downloads files differently than what I am used to. It appears to me I had downloded your file twice and when I tried unzipping it, I kept getting conflicts. I ended up deleting the file from my download folder, then went and checked battlemap. I found the same rar folder already in my battlemap program, so I clicked on it and extracted there…and BINGO! Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good  :-D

It works great and looks fantastic! Kudos to both you and Wonko for all your work.
