    I’m re-reading the rules on carriers and air units.  In every game that I’ve played on A&A, the carrier can take a hit or even be sunk and the aircraft can continue fighting.  But the rule book is confusing.  It says when a carrier is attacked, it’s air and friendly air are considered defending in the air.  But then it says: when a damaged CV is attacked, any air baed on board are cargo and can’t defend.  That’s contradictory.  I plan to put USA air on BRI cv.  What is your opinion.

    Okay, I will edit 4 more from Ger>Yugo.  This naval situation is so complex.  I thought that USA had gotten too confident because it could attack Ita fleet anywhere and use bombers.  But then thought that Ita would attack USA so it couldn’t use bombers and weaken it badly, so Ger bombers could finish it off.  Now, with 2 more air, Ger air advances to Ita.  Which both defends Ita and threatens the USA fleet.  Also thought Ger would combine armies and advance in Rus, but then did bat calc and Rus could destroy the Ger army.  Which is why you didn’t move it all up.  The move to Yugo, positions Ger to counter a move I am considering.  I may have no choice but to take out the Ita fleet, since Ger has positioned in SZ112 to attack or block reiinforcements.

    Aircraft is only cargo when multi-national attacking. If you do us air or bri air on allied CV, it will defend as if it is same nation
