I agree and don’t think they should be called subs as its misleading. Though the notes don’t name any abilities for destroyers so it is correct.

Well, but every other iteration of destroyer that I can think of makes subs not stealth – so it really is bad terminology, especially when the Axis and Allies rules are included in the notes – I know it says that GW doesn’t have “destroyers”, but then you have a unit called a “destroyer” so the reader (especially after reviewing the notes for other games) simply assumes that note is incorrect.

That being said, I’m really starting to like this game a lot – your CP play is making the map very interesting, indeed!

In max defense situations, please take the cavalry as first casualties – it didn’t matter last time, but I noticed that the computer must take the infantry first.  Of course, an OOL can always be asked for in questionable situations (or where keeping the cavalry may make a difference).

Dizz was there a battle on defense that you noticed where the default casualty selection was cavalry before infantry? This shouldn’t ever happen so would be a bug if it does. Default casualty selection should always choose the ‘strongest’ unit not the ‘highest cost’.

Hmmmm…. it seemed like the emails told me that as they were running?!  I didn’t pay too much attention because there wasn’t a 2 rolled anyway, but now I’ll keep an eye out.

Maybe it was the two cavalry one infantry battle that I saw, in which case it happened correctly.  Of course, there are situations were the opponent may actually want to keep the cavalry, so I didn’t know what the default was.  :)

Yeah, on defense its pretty rare you’d want to keep cavalry over infantry since the vast majority of the time the attacker is attacking to win. Unless its a strafe or going really bad then you may need an OOL.
