Yeah, SZ87 is connected to the US Declares War land territory but isn’t connected to any other sea territories. So once the US takes it then it can build ships into SZ87. It simulates the US Pacific coast.

Okay, I get it now – that’s why I haven’t get gotten the space to work for anything.  I think that would be good to add to the game notes at some point.

So, I’m beginning to be a bit confused about sub combat.  Did the destroyer not get to return fire against the subs, even though it’s a destroyer?  :)

Destroyers in Great War don’t have the ‘isDestroyer’ ability. They are just regular ships called destroyer. There is no counter the the ‘isSub’ ability in Great War. Subs can always submerge after 1 round of combat no matter what.

I agree and don’t think they should be called subs as its misleading. Though the notes don’t name any abilities for destroyers so it is correct.

Well, but every other iteration of destroyer that I can think of makes subs not stealth – so it really is bad terminology, especially when the Axis and Allies rules are included in the notes – I know it says that GW doesn’t have “destroyers”, but then you have a unit called a “destroyer” so the reader (especially after reviewing the notes for other games) simply assumes that note is incorrect.

That being said, I’m really starting to like this game a lot – your CP play is making the map very interesting, indeed!
