  • why I always calculate a 98% battle as a win I will never know. so far I’m 0/8 defending @2 in ukraine and that round 2/11 attacking with average @3.

    even more interesting eastern front statistic, I’m 2 out of 11 in exchanging units in small attrition while the axis is 8 out of 10 in exchanging small attrition defense. that’s a total 12 units flip  :|

    In many of my games, I am playing with a low luck reroll system (start 1 per side for any battle on offense or defense, replenished 1-1 if we both use them).

    If you’re interested, let me know. Mostly I have just asked people I’ve already played since I know some people really dislike the notion of rerolls (even in a limited capacity).

    If you want to take me up on this, the offer still stands.

    I can’t do anything about the lone infantry defender battles adding up and clustering in a particular theatre, but you could take a chunk out of it with Ukraine.

    as you know it’s just so crucial with russia which makes it annoying especially when it happens on nearly every battle.

    Hey goes, sorry for just popping in here and posting from nothing. However I would just like to inform you that I followed your game and that hobo made an illegal action in his last UK move.

    You loaded 2 Inf from India to sz39 in the combat move phase and only unloaded 1 Inf to Iraq. This is not possible. Land units which have been loaded in the combat move phase MUST end their turn either in a hostile territory or on a TT only in case they had to retreat because of failing to make a hostile seazone friendly.

    Europe Rule book, 2nd edition page 16:

    If a transport loads land units during the Combat Move phase,
    it must offload those units to attack a hostile territory as
    part of an amphibious assault during the Conduct Combat
    phase, or it must retreat during the sea combat step of
    the amphibious assault sequence while attempting to
    do so.

    I can add that I made the exact same mistake in an earlier game of mine and gamerman made me aware of that. It is a bug that tripleA allows it, however tripleA allows all kind of movements in the combat move phase which are normally not possible.

    Just to add in case you are interested:
    In case you load the 2 Inf in the Non combat move phase of a turn you could move the TT in the combat move phase and unload only one unit if desired.

    I think it’s player’s choice to offload 1 or 2 units during combat move phase. The rule indicates attacker must fulfill the action of unloading units during combat move phase. It doesn’t say you have to unload all of them and leave transport empty. Otherwise the rule would be unreasonable. I might be wrong. We need official ruling.

    I don’t see any room for interpretation. Units loaded in Combat move phase must be offloaded to attack.

    I am happy to pretend it was loaded on UK5 NCM, or let it unload, or whatever.
