    I started playing global last December and I lost the first ten games I played…it was kind of depressing. I found out later that one of my opponents was in the finals for the g40 tournament…that guy made winning look really easy.
    But I’ve learned a lot by losing so many games…mostly what not to do. But each game I play a get a little better, so that’s what’s important.

    You’ve been doing better than you think in this game…it’s round ten and the US isn’t even a factor in either theatre right now. So that in itself is very commendable.

    I must have clicked done instead of post for the US turn…they didn’t do much except take out one Jap destroyer.


  • uh oh. I’m trying a big move. Maybe bad timing. I appreciate the conversation we are having; it is what I like most about playing the game in person. You are doing a lot of little things that are different. Also, I’m learning how vital it is to eliminate Italy early on while possible.

    Yeah I like the talking back and forth also. The games are more fun for me when there is an interaction between my opponent…some of the guys I’ve plalyed never say anything.

    When I play allies I hit Italy hard in the first few rounds every game. It really helps to keep them from being a factor in the game. You don’t have to take them out of the game completely…just park some ships in 97 and convoy them down to nothing while you go back and forth for N Italy.
    I lost Uk in round 3 in a game yesterday…it’s going to be difficul to keep Italy down with no UK in the game!
