Those wars arent as epic as WWII.  However if you must play a Vietnam or Korean war board game, just make your own.  Youll be a pioneer.

  • Rune blade games. hes got them.

Korean War and Vietnam War are epic in my opinion. I’ve made a few Vietnam and Korean War games, but they suck…

  • If you need a starting base:

    -Map of Vietnam/ Cambodia

    • 4 player game (South Vietnam, USA, Vietcong, and NVA)

Divide up the map according to districts/ battle zones or whatever (using impassable landmarks or dense terrain would be a good idea) and starting point (I suggest the start of US Intervention to be a good starting point).

Now you just have to decide what units are in the game for each side, who gets what and what dice system you’ll use. enjoy!.

  • I reccommend using this as a starting point for a map.

  • Here are the two variants I have made and am currently selling concerning Vietnam and Korea.

My Vietnam scenario takes place in 1969 and is a hypothetical “what if” scenario dealing with a US invasion of North Vietnam to force Hanoi to sue for peace.  The game takes place in North and South Vietnam, The boarder zones of Cambodia and Laos, and China.  The players are the Viet Cong, North Vietnam, South Vietnam, The US, and China.

My Korean war scenario deals with a Second Korean War in 2009.  China, the US, South Korea, and North Korea are involved for the domination of the Korean penninsula.

If you want a good Vietnam board game, try out Vietnam 1965-1975.

It is a hex based game, using counters for playing pieces. The game is from the 80’s and you’ll find it on Ebay.

For sure, no game depicts the vietnam war better - with hidden units, ho chi minh infiltration routes.

Beware though, that the Grand Campaign 65-75 takes hundreds and hundreds of hours to play. However, there exist about a dozen smaller scenarios (like the Tet offensive amongst others).
