Sigh - another mistake by me. I didn’t even check to see if you could take me; I just assumed you couldn’t since I had one big stack. Easily could have landed 2 planes there to stop that. This game is a freaking disaster for me. Lazy, lazy, lazy not checking things.
I can’t believe I let you take back Moscow. Sheesh…
It least it puts me in the right frame of mind for the Playoffs. I will be brutally careful!

I see no way for the Axis to win now. Even if I could take Moscow back, which I don’t think I can, London will fall by then so it makes no difference.
I apologize for my terrible play. You played great; with the lone exception of allowing me to take London. I can’t believe how badly I played; are you of the Second Foundation and messing with my brain?
I made at least 3 really stupid mistakes during the game and that doesn’t count you almost taking Rome because I didn’t check that battle or my very poor play with Japan. Ugh. Want to put the game behind me as fast as I can. :)
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE VICTORY!!! - You deserved it - you outplayed me - it is only right you win even with your London error.

So, normally I offer 2 out of 3. Interested?

Sure, let’s do this! I am not only interested, but also feeling honored and obliged - especially when considering that you easily could have had me resign some days ago back in 2023. So to me it has been the happiest and most fascinating game so far (THANKS!) and the one I gave what it requires: some pondering. I totally know about these games you just wanna finish and rush and become lazy about checking and calculating… Hopefully I can make you slightly smile before you leave this accident behind you: My son (on school vacation) eagerly joined me the last days when playing (prolly getting my thrill) and even assisted me while I was sharing some thinking with him - and he finally started his own Axis and Allies path with a v6 game against AI.
Now, I should not be limited to a 2 out of 3, but time will show. Do you wanna play LL again? Ah, and I am afraid that we should go for an arrangement of a week per turn as playoffs will bring me to nine games; though mostly pace gonna still be as used to.

PS: I had to google for Second Foundation, but am not a SciFi fan - is this an answer? ^^

Well I am glad to hear something good came out of my debacle. Once a week is fine with me; I promised myself to slow down and be more detailed oriented so the pace is of no issue to me now being a new year. I will send you a bid via chat. Oh, and yes, Low Luck.

Yes, Second Foundation is from the Isaac Asimov Trilogy. It is the name of the 3rd book and, more importantly, the Mental Science group established by Hari Seldon versus the Physical Science group called the First Foundation to form a new Second Empire. Voted best science fiction series ever and it won the Hugo award. It, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien are two great reads.
Bear in mind Foundation, Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation are the original trilogy. 30 years later Asimov added 4 more books… two prequels, Prelude to Foundation and Forward the Foundation and two sequels, Foundation’s Edge and Foundation and Earth. For my money, the newer 4 books actually detract from the story.
Oh, and another great series by Asimov is the Elijah Baley robot series; The Caves of Steel, The Naked Sun and The Robots of Dawn. Again, Asimov added a fourth book, Robots and Empire about 30 year slater. Again, I think it is not as good as the original three.

@AndrewAAGamer
Thanks for that overview! Sounds like a first pick for getting back into reading novels!
