For the ANZAC, I like an initial buy of 1 sub. Activate Java. Then next round you can by 3 subs.
Since Japan can’t engage, max defend SZ54.
I would consider vacating Malaya, but not big play either way.For the French, we actual have some choices
I would move the fleet to SZ98 and begin rebuild/reinforce of Med fleet. Unlikely to be hit by Germans, and if they did, then a bomber is vulnerable.
Could help in SZ96, but will probably die from Luftwaffe attack and only hit 2 planes.
Could send DD to kill transport, but UK bomber is probably better for that.

I am always a big fan of Allied subs in the Pacific. If they can get in a repeated exchange of sub for a destroyer, it is a winning proposition. Also a huge win if the Money Islands or Japan itself gets convoy raided.

So I don’t get the Java grab. It is temporary and within the path of the IJN. They MUST go there. DNG is an optional campaign that stymes Anzac. It will distract them from their IPC explosion on account of limited number of transports. Did you want the planes in Java too. I have plans to put them on the US carriers.
I think the obvious goal for 54 is to match and exceed the IJN in units, keeping safe Aus as well as projecting power over Cel/Java/malaya. Perhaps forcing Jap to buy ships. By extyension keeping safe Hawaii. In our wildest dreams, picking up Manila.

@crockett36 why not take Java. Its turn 1. Unlikely that Japan will DOW as turn 2 is bad choice, unless the allies leave alot of units open to attack…we wont. If he wanted to accelerate the war the japan should have DOW T1.
Thus we get 4 extra ipcs for 2 turns for free -
No need to fly to Java. Could add fighter to India. But I think the Chinese will be a distraction for awhile. Plus, that becomes a possible reason for J to DOW early–kill ftr easy and prevent build up in India. Might be worth the loss to bring the US in…
But yes, I agree build up SZ54 with ftrs as you did.

@crockett36 still no explanation as to why java is better than dng. I went with all recommendations and got lucky in Nor/Bur.

@crockett36 you still can conquer DNG next round and get the +5 bonus that only begins when at war. Java gives you 4 extra PUs and the infantry will still be alive.

easy decisions for Germany’s attacks. ready for the G3 DoW against Russia. Not ideal but had to get everyone in position as I expect a difficult push towards Moscow. Those extra Russian planes will be pesky.

@crockett36 Kazakhstan would be a more flexible location for your fighters, able to support attacks to the West and East. You still have the option to put the fighters in China, India, or Russia on the critical R3 from that location. I see only upside and no downside.

@crockett36 I would agree that Kazakhstan is better place for ftrs.
Why put anyone in Novogorod? He has no fast movers that can take it. He can’t amphib assault because of the cruiser, unless the Italians want to attack with just air.
If anything, put the ftr, tank, and mech in Novogorod. Should be safe from any attack. No air can reach and only possible 1 inf + 1 tank from amphib is possible.
Put the sub back SZ115 as well, prevents bombard.
That way everyone escapes next round when the ground forces arrive.I’m not convinced the move to Ukraine is useful. You don’t prevent anything because you don’t have enough forces. If anything, push all down south. The 11 in Belarus move to Bryansk and the 8 in Novogorod are still safe in Belarus for one round. Then you might have enough to hold Ukraine for 1 extra round. Especially if the ftrs are in position to defend (i.e. Kazakhstan)
If you don’t like the Novogorod move, push the mech to Caucasus to run for Africa and get NO bonuses.
