    @ksmckay Sorry I didn’t notice before, but you aren’t allowed to take control of a friendly territory with only an AA gun (Dutch New Guinea). Edit however you prefer.

    100% its not in the latest rulebook. I thought they covered most things with the second edition. Havent seen a faq since that one was released.

    If that is true, what about the NOs that include land unit? For example the US presence in North Africa?

    I thought this was true as well and so combed through the rulebook and nothing in the rulebook says thats the case, I did a search on forum but didnt see anything but I didnt look super carefully in forum. A bunch of people have been doing it to me so I started doing it since I couldnt find a rule opposing it.

    I thought the loop hole for the indies and DNG is that they werent considered friendly neutrals.

    But either way its not a big deal to me, just people have been doing it to me so I included it. I am fine with disallowing it if I can swap it with an inf. I wouldnt have taken it to Java otherwise.

    posted an edit but I still cant find anything that shows its not allowed. Friendly neutrals I agree with (though people do that to me as well) but the dutch territories are different (which is why air is allowed to land in them, unlike friendly neutrals).

    @ksmckay Can’t take control of a territory with a unit with no combat value, that’s the general rule.

    Im fine with that and it makes sense, its just not in the rules. Feels like a loophole so I am fine unofficially closing it. But they completely rewrote the rules for the second edition, and then came out with an errata and according to those rules/errata nothing excludes taking guardianship of the dutch territories with an AAA gun and it seems to be a typical play that people use so was just hoping for an official rule/ruling.
