two things to note. I assumed max defense in 109 given the odds (97%) and my first roll. I did save (and post the combat move and the first round if you had wanted to do anything differently.
Also, the British air in 98 are on an American carrier.
Also, I’m taking a short vacation of my own, starting tomorrow. Might still get to play a bit but may not be able to make a turn between my tomorrow morning and Saturday.

And additionally you rolled very lucky. I could have lived with a +60-80 maybe, but +160???

Yeah, the dice were good to me there. I beat the average a little and your second roll was well below. I was guessing you didn’t realize how much air I had to bring (and especially perhaps the 3 bombers which were all on different sides of hte map and could easily be missed as threats to the North Atlantic.
While I think these two sea battles (the Italy one before as well where the dice were also good to me) are crucial for me to have a chance in this game, I don’t think it is over. Germany is in trouble but has a massive number of tanks. Japan is a monster on the continent even if I have managed to keep you from winning in the Pacific. And when I realized I could destroy the Italian fleet the previous turn I was to eager to get to it and I don’t think I took the time to study the board carefully enough. I don’t want to give anything away but I thought I blundered in how I positioned some of my units and I’m worried that that I might have also given you an easier route to victory than I could have.
Anyway, I think we should see how the next couple off turns play out. Your position may not seem as bad as it does now.
Yeah after writing my initial shock reaction, I realized I actually have a decent shot at winning. It’s not super safe and I certainly gave up a lot of my advantage, but I can see an opening.

Hi Roboto, I’m guessing you missed my message above. I actually wanted to redo my NCM choices as the USSR before the Japan turn. I just posted because I didn’t have time to decide them properly and thougth I should post something given the combats. I probably won’t have time to do this until tomorrow. Anyway, we might need to negotiate around what that looks like since it might have affected your turn. The main issue was I was considering leaving a much smaller number of units in Bryansk and stacking most of those units in Ukraine. Sorry if I wasnt clear. I’ll let you know tomorrow what I intended and we can discuss how we go forward from there.
