I should buy the Revised first too if I were you. It’s just the best version there is, although I have to admit that Europe is great one too. Perhaps you could buy them both, in that way you don’t to make a choice

Dear ANON long post (if you are still out thar), What UK,US & SOV players would allow a GER AC to survive in the Baltic SZ after UK1, US1, or SOV2? This GER build would allow for a massive SOV INF overload that the German player could not beat.

The most effective way I have found to defeat Germany is to build only bombers every turn with the USA and bomb them arround the clock. Also land US infantry in morocco on turn 1. Make artillery with Russia instead of infantry because you already have plenty of those and having massive numbers of 2’s is better than 1’s in a counter attack.

I would love to see a PC version of (at least) Europe. It would make practice and such a lot more convenient, and reach out to a new audience (the PC gamer). I, for one, would love it even more on the grounds that I am a (n00b) AA guru, as WELL as a PC gamer (as I’m sure many of you are)

plith7, the rules for naval placement have changed in AAE, if the us places naval units they can now fight instead of simply being destroyed, make a german blockade a very expensive venture.

Well with Germany, I wold go with Subs. For USA/UK probably a destroyer or battleship. But really, this all depends on what’s on the board. If there’s a of air power on the other side, then chances are I won’t build subs. If I already have a small navy (say a convoy of transports), I would probably go with a BB. And if I know the other side is using subs, then I probably buy destroyers. It all depends on how you look at it.
