Cool vid.'s I’ve played the 42 a few times, Japan turns into a monster, Russia can go on the offensive, Germany has a tough time. We split the U.K.'s income, they need help in the Pac., if you played as one income that might make a difference. America needs to dump in the Pac. I cant wait to see more video’s

32 unique participants. There 15 games the first round, with 12 or 13 in the second round. Maybe 8 games in the third round.  Ty Hansen ended up capturing the championship again beating not only Goia son in the semifinals and then the Goia dad in the final. Unfortunately, I lost a close game to the dad in the second round and then another close one in the third round.  Good time though and didn’t feel outplayed in anyway.  Just needed to tweak a few things and could have won.

There will be an Axis & Allies tournament hosted by The Columbus Area Boardgaming Society (CABS) at 11 am on May 14th in Worthington, Ohio. Featured will be a 1942 tourney & also a Global tourney. Go to the Columbus, Ohio Axis & Allies Meetup site for more details. Prizes for winners.

After fourth round!?

Credulous has provided the following battle report on the other game: The 1942 game was contested between Credulous and two non-forum players from the village. The Axis very quickly established themselves as firm favourites for the win wiping out a significant Russian stack in Karelia, and the Siberian army massing on the Japanese border. The Allies never really recovered from these early losses, which were compounded with the early loss of Egypt and India. In a desperate bid to counter the Americanâ€s launched an audacious bid to capture Toyko via amphibious landings, but this desperate gambit was quashed and in the following turn a four carrier Japanese battlegroup sailed into home waters to sink the American battleships and cruisers and leave the US Pacific fleet in tatters. Finally the British launched a desperate attack of their own on Berlin having established a temporary beach head in Holland Belgium, but this attack was also quashed leaving nothing to prevent the triumphant Axis armies marching into Berlin. At the close of the game the Axis empire stretched from Normandy to Eastern Siberia, encompassing everything in between and the entirety of Africa, along with Australia. The contest was over by 3.40pm allowing an early get away for all concerned to soak up the sunshine and fine weather!

The Battle of Britain 1942.2 event is quarterly. All A&A players are welcome. We can currently accommodate three more. The Winter 2015/16 event is on 7 February. Then the Spring 2016 one on 8 May. If you are interested please contact Private Panic via this thread or a PM.

If you follow the links, you will see the details for the rules.  Kremlin gives you all kinds of options to start the game.  Things like early landings in WAfrica, having Turkey, Switzerland or other neutrals starting the game as your ally, adding a battleship to the South Atlantic for Germany and many, many more.  It can completely change the playout of the game and because the restricted Tech rules, Technology will likely not play as bid a role as it can in regular 2nd Edition games.  Give it a try and you’ll see that it makes the game a very different one.
