my experience so far with BM seems to indicate that allies just have too much income, the axis feel very compressed and must be extremely aggressive and on target or they will simply get drowned economically with all the extra bonuses. idk i’m not used to having to struggle this much with axis, maybe i was just spoiled. i don’t like feeling like i have to throw everything at russia or else i’ll lose…i like being able to buy more expensive units like planes or bases or ships with european axis and being able to play around a little. i feel like in this mod, if i deviate even slightly from a single all out mission, the allies will just overwhelm economically.
making this less enjoyable axis for me. one other thing i think i’m missing is the added variety a bid gives, which forces the axis to come up with creative ways to deal with bid placements. game can take a different turn altogether based on the bid.
for sure there are many things I’m liking about the BM tho, so idk i guess time and more experience with it will tell.
on the flip side, i’ve been enjoying allies in BM :)

my experience is limited so far, but I agree with many of your observations, Allies for sure feel way stronger than in OOB, still Adam crashed me hard with his Axis… but I made a stupid mistake in that game that cost me loosing Egypt on Ita2 and never recovering it back… I even bought him IC there in UK1… with Egypt in Axis hands Axis had an economic advantage and there was nothing Allies could do…
Still I enjoy the mod much much more than the classical games with an added starting bid, that typically is no much help to Axis unless Axis are diced in the opening turns…
