• From what I get, if the attacker scores a hit and kills a unit, the next roll the defender still roles for the amount of units it had before the hit? If the defender has 3 infantry and the first is killed the first roll, on their first roll they role 3 die, correct? Then, if another is killed, does the defender roll 3 because the 2 casualties the whole battle? Or does the defender roll 2 because the first casualty roll was used? Same thing for attackers. Do attackers get to roll for their casualties?

TL;DR: how do rolls for units in combat that have been killed work, for both attackers and defenders?

  • Hi Grumphey

    Each round of the battle:

    1. The attacker rolls. The defender selects his casualties. He does not remove them from play.

    2. The defender rolls for all units, including those just taken as casualties.

    3. The attacker selects his casualties. Both sides remove their casualties from play.

    4. The attacker decides whether to retreat or conduct another round of combat.

    Cheers
