HBG US Set in Optional Colors

My view is exactly the opposite on this: just get the proper UK set out for the UK (and Commonwealth) stuff.  This set in alternate colors makes more sense for US-allied minors.  Another idea: French blue and/ or light blue for Free French units, who used a good bit of US equipment.  (e.g., Free French Stuart tanks were the first allied units to enter Paris… closely followed by Free French Shermans.)  For UK and Commonwealth stuff, I’ll probably stick with oob stuff until HBG has their own sets.  I can’t really think of anything in the US supplemental set that I’m all that keen on getting in UK colors except maybe a CVE (and I’m using classic carriers for this now) and M7 Priests (which I’d probably wait on anyway to see if the proper UK set has an even better Sexton SP.)  hmm… OK, well, maybe the Stuart too, but that’s a low priority for me.  They didn’t really use many, if any, Hellcats.  There’s already plenty of UK-color Shermans out there…  While all of the planes in the US supplemental where used by UK and/or Commonwealth forces, none really adds that much to the UK line-up, especially seeing as they already have four oob air options now, including a pretty decent P-40.

Well, just to make sure that I’m clear, I WOULD like to see at least on more shade of green for the US supplement for use by neutrals/ minors/ Nationalists.  I just don’t see the need for UK- or ANZAC-colored US troops.  For a 3rd US color I’m open to the light green or the yellow-green that you guys use for neutrals or to the UK light green from the old Europe set. The yellow-green is my top choice, though.

I’d like to see Canadian pieces to match FMG dice, too.  I’d probably wait for the proper UK set, though.

Hey Variable could you show a picture of your USA set in Olive next to the OOB USA pieces. Thought about buying some of the Olive to supplement my OOB wanted to see how close the colors matched. You may have done this already I apologized for not seeing it. Thanks Man

There pretty close. Not perfect but 98% there. Not noticeable unless your closely examining them. I seriously wouldnt worry.

I say go with the current UK Tan, Anzac Silver, the current Russian Red/maroon/brown (whatever you want to call it), and OOB French Blue.

Yeah, I like all the colors listed as well. I also like Yavid’s idea of molding them in French blue. Not sure what I personally would use them for, but I think they would look cool.

Well, seeing as the Free French after D-Day were equipped with mostly US gear, it makes sense as a FF option.

Even if you did just particular pieces for individual sale this would be awesome. In particular I would love to have escort carriers for UK (G40 Tan) and ANZAC.

These seem the most popular.
Next year we will make another neutral set to compliment the set we have already put out.
