Anyway, spain I made a discovery! I can only make shippy if you move into the medit sea. so I have a place to make my battleships! ><
i has cheeseburger questions. What is the deal with the various naval units. what sub meaning? first strike or can retreat away? is the barque a destroyer (why it cost 2 more vs cutter)?
What is TC meaning?
TC = transport cost? so it cost money to load units / unload?
You still have sz50 as your flag is still on it as UK hasn’t gone there as of yet. Right now you’re +6 for that convoy zone and -6 for your NO, which leaves you at game neutral in the convoy department.
Official allies can liberate stuff for each other and revert original terr back to their original owners. Currently UK has controls both your other convoy zones (sz61 & sz38).
UK doesn’t collect that 12ipcs for itself, however that income is denied to you as long as a flag other then your own flies from them. Either yourself or Spain can liberate said convoy zones and allow you to collect on them again.
Barques are transports (they can transport only 1land unit, unless they’re sailors)
TC is the weight of the units. Barques are not the dds, they’re the transports. Most ships can carry one TC worth of dudes, Marines only have 1TC. Barques have a TC capability of 3, so they can carry 1 cav, 1marine + inf/art, OR 3 marines. Corvettes have a first strike capability, not sure if on offense and D or just on offense. Additionally they may retreat to an adjacent seazone after each round of combat, regardless if on offense or defense. You don’t need a special unit to kill them and nothing negates them. This ship type was very elusive and fast in real life and used to prey on merchants and act as scouts for the main fleets. Cutters are the artillery of the sea and plus up several units.
btw, I’m done answering questions as most of this information CAN be found in the game notes AND has been previously been discussed several times in this very thread. If you can’t take the time to read it then I don’t see why the rest of us should have to regurgitate this stuff over and over for you.

I agree, I’d also add keeping Galacia to this list as well. Otherwise Spain would be stuck only putting 1-2 ships into the water at a time. Spain needs terr with 2+ along it’s coast to give them ship build options. In fact, I’d argue towards upping the value of any of these 3 territories, especially Lisbon. Maybe take some of the other terr down to 0?
