Hi guys. I will be playing me first Global 1940 game this weekend and i was wondering how balanced Alpha 2 setup is when using global. Is it about a 50/50 win/loss ratio between the Axis and Allies or do the Allies have an advantage that needs to be balanced out with a bid? We are playing 2v2 and all players are about equal in skill and experience. Thanks.
Can russia take Greece Turn 2 with Alpha 3

I know there was some discussion in the Alpha 3 post about Russia being able to exploit the new NO of taking European territories German or Neutral. My question if Russia builds a Tranny turn one, are they allowed to land troops in Greece if their not at war with Germany in Alpha 3?

Russia begins the game as a neutral power, and neutral powers in any global version may not move into friendly, strict or hostile neutral territories unless they are in a state of war. Therefore, the only situation in which Russia could move into Greece on turn 2, is if Germany or Italy declares a state of war on Russia before than.

No problem, BTW…. any transport/s you put in the black sea will more than likely get sunk by axis aircraft.

and to go through the straights Turkey has to be controlled.

They don’t need to go through, Greece borders the Black Sea
