I’m a little unsure what’s going on since I offered to take down all save files that have e-mail addresses in them.

That’s no problem at all, but we have to do this right so that dice rolls are done through e-mail MARTI and verifiable.

I’m not experienced with Play by Email function and I’m not interested in figuring it out, because I know if we use Play by Forum we will get MARTI dice. Instead of clicking the post button in Triple A, we can merely save it and upload the save file for each other.

The save file produced by “File->Save” when done with your turn in Play by forum mode will save a file that does not show e-mail addresses and can be manually uploaded to this thread, or e-mailed to me.

If we are e-mailing files back and forth, which is fine, then occasionally I’ll post a local file with no addresses to this thread if anyone’s wanting to watch the game.

All that matters is dice are rolled by MARTI so are verifiable, and that we get the save file back and forth to each other in a playable manner, where MARTI dice are always rolled. Whether that’s by e-mailing back and forth, or posting up save files that have your e-mail blanked out, matters not to me.

@gamerman01 I mystified by TripleA. I use play by forum. sometimes it works perfectly.

Normally we play by forum, and Triple A posts the game summary and everything (which is not needed).

I’m trying to accommodate your wishes to conceal your e-mail address. Either you can set up an e-mail address dedicated to MARTI that you don’t need to protect from viewing, or we can save the Play by forum files and transfer them to each other one way or another.

I did upload a local file or 2 to this thread for any watchers. I don’t know if you used those. I got MARTI dice for G1 and UK1, but none for J1. I accept J1 dice anyway, because they went OK for me.

We have to have MARTI dice. We have to be able to transfer the file to each other. If you really want your e-mail concealed, there are ways to do it.

OK, I’ll be in play by forum mode and save at the end of Russia2. Then I’ll open it up again to make sure you will be in play by forum mode. I’ll plan to just e-mail the file to your address, and maybe notify you here in the thread, too. We just have to figure out the method and then it will be fine!

I just downloaded what I sent you, started up Triple A, clicked play by forum, then opened the exact same file I gave to you and it is fully completed including the e-mail addresses at the top and would be ready to play.

If we still can’t get it, I ask you to reconsider playing by forum normally, where it is possible for someone to open the file and see your address.

If that makes you nervous, there is another route. You can sign up a different e-mail address with MARTI and we can use that one. An e-mail address that you don’t care if someone sees. You can sign up for a new e-mail address for gaming purposes, perhaps at yahoo.com

@leemorrison and I have struggled mightily and tried various ways to successfully play by forum but leemorrison has had enough, too frustrating, too time consuming. Leemorrison doesn’t want his e-mail address to be exposed due to a terrible experience with identity theft in the past, and we were unsuccessful setting up a new address.

We’re playing in local mode with no MARTI verifications, so gentlemen’s game, honor system.
