The Escort unit is a sea unit, that has multiple tasks. The primary task is to protect Transports as part of a Convoy.

For use with Axis & Allies Global 1940 and Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion, we are about to start play testing the formation of German Waffen-SS Panzer Jäger units
This rule will initially be an Optional Rule.
We start play testing this rule during the Axis & Allies G40 Expansion Tournament from the 25th to 27th October 2024.

The Waffen-SS Panzer Jäger unit is available for production from Early 1944.
The number of Waffen-SS Panzer Jäger units is limited to 2 units.
Further play testing is still ongoing.
We expect to be able to release the Waffen-SS Panzer Jäger rulebook no later than 16th December 2024.
