Anzac’s turn

Subs are always helpful for the Allies. Good purchase for ANZAC

If you did those moves, the 35 Russians in Bryansk would get destroyed on G7 and Moscow will fall easily on G8.
I would attack the tanks in Archangel and skip the other attacks.
If you want to get aggressive, do one of the battles with 1 inf + 1 fighter. In general Russia should not be doing many attacks without fighter support as they can’t afford to lose so many troops.
-
This feels like fiddling while Rome burns. You have previously mentioned that Moscow usually falls. If my massive army goes to Tambov, I might be able to cut off the armor. Caucasus and Stalingrad are worth too much to leave alone, not to mention the Middle East. These may be safer moves but result in Germany at parity with the US. Every single suggestion is sensible but will lead to a global loss in the long run. Do you disagree?
I believe the best course of action is to head to Middle East. Moscow doesn’t even give a German bonus.

Looks much better, although don’t step too far away from Moscow with that stack since infantry can get trapped if they wander away from their main supply lines.
Normally the Allies would have a much stronger defense in the Middle East so that the Axis couldn’t so easily march all the way to Egypt. That should have been possible with the A+100 bid. There is almost 100 PUs worth of fleet sitting in the Indian ocean achieving nothing, that would have been better used if it was in the Middle East or threatening W Europe.
Any other modifications, or is this final?
-
@arthur-bomber-harris final. Thanks.
-
i don’t believe you are making it to Egypt. The phrase over my dead body comes to mind.
-
@crockett36 Can you point me to oob game that has such a robust Middle East? Link it please. I think mine is as stronger than normal so I would love to see an example of high level play that has the Middle East as such a bastion of freedom.
-
@crockett36 you keep mentioning the large bed, but some of that is just making the game even because everyone knows G 40 is terribly unbalanced. The rest of it is a handicap for someone who’s not as experienced or good at the game as you are so to compare where you think you would be. To where I am is irrelevant. My question to you is if you were playing yourself as the allies, what kind of bed would you need to beat yourself? Which begs the question would’ve been better to watch you play yourself and ask questions along the way?
Also, in this game, I tried an experiment with submarines with the bit. I do not think helping the British Navy with the bid is as helpful as I have been hoping.
Excuse the typos, I’m traveling 60 miles an hour down the road

Here is a save file against an opponent who was Allies + 42 in standard game. You can see he is in a better situation in almost every theater of the map.
-
Japan should progress much faster now that Russia is out of Siberia, China is essentially smashed, and there are no transports in the Pacific fleet.
-
Thanks. So you think if you had 42 ipc and you were playing yourself, you would conquer the axis (which is also you).
-
The bid to balance the game depends on the quality of player even when equally matched. Here are my guesses on what is fair.
beginner: Allies -20
novice: Allies +0
intermediate: Allies +20
Expert: Allies +40
Master: Allies +50?I played my last OOB game at Allies +42.
-
@arthur-bomber-harris that is valuable information.

listened to 9 pages of our game. Gibraltar really set me back. So in my new youtube wars i’m not forgetting G. Also liked the comments about the bid going to stop the usurpation of Yunnan.
This is the second tutor game in which more British fleet didn’t translate into big gains. Really a set up issue.
Surfer is quite a cautious fellow. My sub strat didn’t work. Where are my convoying subs?! I was also trying KJF, but went south. South is what I’m calling a attack of convenience for the Japanese. It’s like in chess. You feel great moving in with a forking move. 54 is like camping out on the other end of a forking move.
This side of the game I would go with mostly Russian and Chinese troops OR additional US naval units and go straight for sz6. i call it the Bering Strait ball buster.
-
I have my US moves. I will post tomorrow.
