Submarines order of operation question.

@Krieghund (I didn’t see this in the Q and A so here goes)
A French battleship attacks two German subs.
The French battleship rolls a die and scores a hit.
The German player decides if his subs are submerging.
He decides to submerge the surviving German sub.
The German player then rolls a die for the sub that did not submerge (i.e. the sub that was “hit”)
Regardless of result - combat ends.Do I have that right?
