Russia Restricted (RR) means that Russia can not attack in its first round. It just skips it’s combat move and goes straight to non-combat.
Submerging subs means that subs that survive the first round of an attack get to “submerge” and not be shot at anymore. It remains in the same seazone, just invisible for the duration of the round. It may attack/be attacked in subsequent rounds. Its handy b/c an attacking sub is much cooler than a defending sub.
Look up “bids” in other threads for the answer to your other question.
hope this helps.
Axis and allies minatures, where and how to get
-
The avalon hill website seems to no longer sell or have any information on miniatures. I found some on amazon but not sure exactily what I am getting.
Anyone know a website where I can see all the minatures they sell.
I bought a minature set for the planes intending to use them for the overall ground war, but it seemed the set was designed for planes alone battles. The were huge and the stands took up the entire hex,
Also lost my rule book.
Can anyone help.

@eddiem4145
The planes you bought are for the Air Force game and are a bit large for the 2" and 3" hex maps but can still used. You will find the official Land game cards for these planes in the Database that djensen gave you. (http://www.aamcardbase.com/search_AAM.aspx)If you are looking for miniatures ebay is a good source and Miniature market also. I sell land miniatures in lots and if you would like a list of available lots you can find them here: https://forumini.boards.net/thread/1667/obers-aam-lots
Rulebooks can still be downloaded here: http://web.archive.org/web/20150906011831/http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ah/aam/updates
