Hints for hosting headaches

Today I bravely updated my Netgear router firmware and updated TripleA to 1.6.1.4. I tried to host and got rejected. These three things seemed to help:
A. The Norton firewall tracked the TripleA executable file to the folder with the version number, so the firewall exception had to be redone.
B. The updated router didn’t like the old port number, had to change from 3300 to something else.
C. I renamed the service from TripleA to NewTripleA for the port fowarding, that seemed to matter to the router.Hope this helps.
