    May I ask: Did you overlook some Japanese air that could reach celeb when moving in? Those at Japan maybe?
    When you moved to Celebs I did realize that the odds to attack the fleet would have been very shaky in case you move all potential fighters in and take a sub to attack sz34 plus bringing the Anzac sub in. I might not have attacked then.

    Anyway, that was the strongest Allies play I have experienced so far as Axis and if I would not have wiped the fleet in J8 I believe that game could have been gone either way then (You surprised my a bit by stating I would have won anyway, I found the Allies position still potent)

    I knew the planes could reach from Japan, I may now be remembering this incorrectly but I think I attacked one of your blockers in the wrong sea zone wit h ANZAC, if I had attacked the one on the left I could have reached Celebes sz with the planes but I hit the one on the right and then they couldn’t reach and I didn’t feel like begging for a combat edit.  I think I missed something else too anyway I probably should have just moved to Java in the first place but I always prefer to move further into DEI if possible, makes it easier to take islands behind me and harder for Japan to take back.  I felt like Germany just had too much money and my position in Africa/ME was poor and I didn’t have enough fleet in Atlantic to be offensive, I could still have made the game interesting but I feel you would have won.

    Okay, thanks for the explanation! I agree that Allied fleet at Celebs is a bigger deal for Japan than Java.
