Fantastic start would be if I cleared sz 110 and 111 with zero losses or if the solo sub sunk the two destroyers (which can happen).
How about Yugoslavia with zero losses? You got your fighter kill, you cannot complain.

right - but when you have 3 inf left in france it’s always a big bonus. not that you have the extra units but that you didn’t get a below avg result. but again, i’m glad it worked out well for you, now get ready for your second lesson.

What passes for fantastic is a really low bar on this site. Coming out on top +1-3 or down 1-3 units is totally within the normal bell curve.
I got way below that against JWW. The extremes are the rough games to play. The ones Germany walks out with next to zero losses or almost all air devastated.

you live in a charmed world - i know it’s possible to occur that german loses next to nothing and you can expect to beat two destroyers with a single sub. LOL

I have lost a carrier and 2 fighters to a single fighter. I had an aa gun protecting 3 bombers… 3 air units came to attack it… I rolled 3 1s with my aa gun to defend my bombers.

I once lost an entire fleet three times to the same 2 subs. That was a quick game for me to lose. Bad times for the allies.
