To scramble or not to scramble in SZ97. The pope needs to decide!
I have to say I am a bit nervous before the dices will fall. This move is a bit risky and I hate gambles in early stages of the game.
But letting you BB and 2 subs escape for free would make your fleet very strong and I fear this would cause big problems in later stages of the game. -

Yeah, I have to say I wasn’t sure about asking at all because this was quite obv. It worked out, the sub allowed the BB to make another hit as my sub did hit.

OK, so I did my combat move and when I moved my planes to join the sub against your cruiser, my mouse must have been over Malta. I did not realize this until I went into the battle in sz 96. I am going to keep the first rolls which was my sub missing and your cruiser hitting. I get to also roll 2 @ 3.

So that means I got your cruiser. I hope you don’t feel weird about this :oops: It was and honest mistake and if you think about it, why would I take 2 fighters to Malta when I have no chance and I literally gain nothing by doing so.
If you ever come to a situation where you need to roll on the forum, just ask me and I will teach you the formula. One game I had to manually roll for the Chinese fighter because I edited him out to put him in a different spot and it would not let me add a Chinese fighter, it was really annoying.
Anyways, sorry for that and I will post move shortly!!

No problem, in this case it was more than obvious you wanted to attack the cruiser instead of doing a pointless attack on the powerful Malta (the AntiAir unit was delighted for a short moment to finally get a chance to train under real conditions) :-)
