    I expected this one to go a lot longer.

    I didn’t expect the UK and Soviets to try to 1-2 me. Though I can see from an Allied perspective that if you didn’t evict me then, you’d probably never evict me.

    I’m not sure that this shuck through Syria is the best counter to a turtled Cairo though.

    The part that would make it hard is that you have to put so much infrastructure into the middle east program that it give USSR a lot of time to sit a build infantry, and if Japan is helping out in the Indian Ocean then USA and ANZAC can sit and stack Hawaii and Sydney.  I make a lot of mistakes though so its hard to tell.  I wouldn;t have done th 1-2 except it was looking hopeless.  A better move for UK might be to just sit and build infantry in Cairo and let you attack it with separate italian and german forces taking heavy losses.  Eventually it will fall though

    It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Calcutta’s army fled north into Turkmenistan towards Moscow (rather than standing ground in EPR) or maybe even abandoned Calcutta sooner.

    I think you had the right idea overall though. Germany couldn’t keep men moving in so many fronts forever, even with Japan kicking in.

    I was going to drop men on Normandy for a couple turns to distract germany and buy some time.  I was hoping the guys in East Persia would score a lot of hits and you would divert more to China to keep those guys from plugging Burma.  It was surprising how much stuff you managed to get into Iraq.  Then I screwed up the first landing.  I accidentally unloaded all 4 transports (2 unloaded 2 inf each; 2 unloaded 1 inf each and so 1 inf and 1 AA stayed on board the 2 tts), so then I couldn’t unload the inf/AA in ncm because those transports had already unloaded, and then I couldn’t reload them and make the second drop.    live & learn

    OK now I learned something.  Maybe next time I could build all infantry in Calcutta and then start walking to Moscow starting UK2.  Just abandon India no matter what Japan does.  Its not like it makes a lot of money anyway.  Including the 2 Persians it would be something like 16 inf, 1 art, 3 AA arriving in Moscow on round 7 just when the Siberians arrive.  So all of a sudden an extra 40 defenders show up.  Thanks Wheatbeer.

    The downside is the income boost for Japan … but Japan may not be in position to sack Calcutta on J3.

    It sounds worth testing.
