Not trying to be insulting to the rest of the fine Yankees playing in this tournament, but I would daresay the US could hardly do better than the pairing in this round.  I love the brave choice of foregoing 6 IPC with the Germans, as well.

Heh - brave to forgo 6 IPC’s maybe, but I think it’s more of a chicken route….  Too chicken to give you a counterattack option

Your bid of a DD did about as well as mine vs. Zhukov.  Definitely messed with my G1 though, so was probably still a success.  With a little luck you take down a sub and a couple of fighters, while sparing the battleship…  I think it will become one of my favorite placements (DD to 12)

Not sure I follow you on the “pairing in this round”…  Are you saying it’s too bad one of us has to lose, or…?

I saw team Europe are pretty pleased with themselves…

IMO, Yoshi is as good as anyone on the planet.  Maybe you don’t like Dutch, but he crushes like few others.  I would say he’s the worst of their bunch, but hey that’s saying something quite impressive.  Dutch has amassed quite a few impressive victories through the years.  Aside from Yamamot0, he might be the best on AAA.

I think now that I’m averaging points per game, maybe my rankings are more telling than ever.

Yoshi - 2 PPG (3 games played)

DD -    1.1 PPG (10 games)

DD was dissing me about a year ago during one of his games with someone else…  Can’t blame him too much because in the 3 or 4 multiplayer games that we had been involved in, I had lost them all.  I told him I thought I could take him 1v1 and to stop dissing me, and he’s hated me ever since.  I got the better of him in the tournament and I thought he had better dice (my Russians got horrible dice) overall, but it’s only 1 game.  We’ll never play 1v1 again, but according to the league results over the last year and a half, we’re probably about as even a match as you’ll get.  Although he’s never admitted that I’m as good as he is.  Sure was sweet to get that no-doubter tournament win on him.
