I find it kinda amusing that Vietnam (Indochina) plays such a big strategic role in Larry Harris’ war games. If Russia falls in a KJF game, then it’s a battle in the jungle between capitalists and fascists.
As for the dice, don’t forget about 62–the most significant battle of the game and a huge swing for Allies. Sure, the early dice (like R1 BST) favored Axis and the early dicings tend to be the most decisive, but to say the dice have been uneven in this game would be an exaggeration–you’ve gotten lucky many a time…otherwise we wouldn’t still be playing after 12 rounds.

You are correct, the early dice are huge, especially on the German/Soviet front. Even a very good result like Z62 late pales in comparison.
I did get one good early result in EUK, which I had hoped would turn the tide that was building on the GER/RUS front. It was quickly negated and more by the incredible defense Italy put up in Z16. All things considered, I am quite certain the early dice favored the Axis considerably. In fact, other than EUK and now Z62 late, I think it’s gone mostly the Axis’ way.
No matter, just was stating the facts as I saw them, not wanting an argument, nor am I discounting your play, it’s been very solid.
