    If I read correctly: My 4 fighters escorting the bombers are essentially 4 AA Guns, shooting down any interceptors you launch before they can fire, then you attack at 2 and my bombers defend at 1 until I retreat or you lose all your planes, any suviving bombers can then run at the complex….  (That would be 4 shots at your two planes in total, not 4 shots at each plane, but any hits are immediately removed, before they can return fire as they would be when being hit by an AA Gun.)

    If you could confirm my reading of the rules at the same time you decide whether or not to launch fighters at me, that would be great!  I’ll roll it when I get your decision.

    That is basically the way I read the rules as well, except that Escort\Intercept, Intercept\Bomber is a one round each, you may take Escorts as casualties only after all bombers are shot down, in this case there are 3 bombers and only 2 interceptors.  Let’s see how this plays out, send the 2fgts to intercept.

    Round 1: Escorts roll 4 dice @1, any hits immediately removed.
    Round 2: Bombers fire @ 1, surviving interceptors fire @ 2, remove casualties.
    Round 3: AA guns fire at surviving bombers
    Round 4: Any bombers left conduct SBR
