is there really any point in continuing this? I am all for continuing to get a tad more learning experience but at the same time I cant imagine a scenario where I come back.

@ksmckay It’s worth it for the experience. And I had to use good moves to get to this point, a few rounds ago I thought the Axis would end up losing. Germans will get Leningrad but won’t be able to move further. If UK had stacked Shan State last round I would have just taken NSW and retreated the rest of my land troops and air to FIC, Japan would be in a worse shape.

i was worried if I moved to Shan state you would just swing a few transports toward India. Seemed like you had enough units to defend Australia and still send 4 or so transports and a carrier to 37 and then I lose India. Maybe I was wrong.
Axis getting to EPol really hurts. I thought I had done enough there but now I need to regroup which gives you some space.

it was tricky. I played it out and couldnt get it to work. If you sent all your german ground all your german air, you had TUV of +60. I tried to come up with a way to make sure you couldnt do that because of US threats in west but I was able to come up with reasonable enough defenses to defend UK/Italy and annihilate the russians. I would have been able to counter what was left and clean up all your ground forces but you would still have all your air. Maybe it would have been worth it but didnt look like it to me.

I have trouble with those kind of decisions. You could have hit Shan State hard and then India would fall the next turn. But that would mean giving up Australia for you. And probably Australia is more valuable than India and would have opened up some of the islands. But hard to judge those tradeoffs.
