@kwaspek104 forgot to tag you because I rushed the turn out in a panic after realizing my first run of it was in local mode instead of PBEM mode whoops.

That’s a GG, well played. My submarine build was a last-ditch effort to trap the Allied navy and hope for some lucky rolls to destroy it, but unfortunately it didn’t work (in my playtest, I killed two transports and had one sub remaining, and then I had a +22.65 average TUV swing on attacking your navy with the Luftwaffe. Now the TUV swing is -14.09 😅)
I was probably too agressive on turn 1 when attacking Russia which ultimately decided my fate. In my playtest, it went a lot better, I was able to take Ukraine and your odds on attacking Eastern Poland were pretty risky, so that’s why I did that move. However it seems that the outcome of both battles can vary a bit and if you don’t get good rolls, it butterfly-effects into a disaster.
Thank you for playing! Would you like to have a rematch? Do you want to switch sides this time?

By the way, I managed to make more fixes to the module. I finally discovered why the MIddle East fix did not work for you. It indeed got confused with the other europe map you had installed. The name of the map is specified in multiple spots in the XML file, so in the fixed version I changed the name to “europe_fix” everywhere, except for one spot which I missed where it still was “europe” . This apparently made the game load files from the original map, which didn’t have a Middle East flag. Still not sure why it exactly does that, but I got the same error as you while loading europe_fix and having the original europe map also in my downloadMaps folder. Anyway it has been corrected now and it should work.
I made more fixes to submarine movement and strategic bombing raids. I tried to fix what I could but unfortunately most of them are not possible, or simply take more work than just editing. I’ll send you an email with the ZIP and an overview of the changes. We can play the second game on the fixed version.

@VictoryFirst Playing as either side would be very helpful for me. I would love to play again as either side. Let me know what side you’d like.
If I’m Germany, my bid is a fighter in France. Just let me know your side and bid.
I feel that this game comes down to the Western Allies either killing Germany or saving Russia. If that is true, my focus was saving Russia in this game.
I was prepared to lose the whole fleet with that negative TUV and all if it weakened the German air force. I don’t think money matters much to the western allies so much since the economy is totally stacked in their favor. Although accepting that (if true) is not intuitive…
-
Yeah I think even if I destroyed your fleet the Allies would still have won just because I had no chance of posing threats to Russia. At some point, I couldn’t even move into East Poland anymore 😂
Anyway, I’d be happy to switch sides after every game, so I’ll be the Allies this time. I’ll place two infantry in Malta and two infantry in Ukraine.
