    i know you’re not much of a strategy guy cow, despite your copious “playbook” writings.  the chinese are useless to me at this point, they performed their function just fine already.  i thought why not take a chance at whittling your airforce, that’s one thing the chinese can still possibly do if they get a little luck.  alas, luck was not with the hapless chinese, but bad luck just makes a win all that much sweeter.  :-D

    There are a series of different paths I can take with Japan. I am juggling between four different ideas right now.

    Usually I avoid big engagements with Japan until Germany rolls dice on Russia. With China out of the picture other plans are more feasible. I have to time everything. Usually I would just take back Java and shove stuff into India to make it hold. Place a destroyer off India as a blocker.

    I am considering something else.

    As far as carolines goes. That is a stupid attack. 1) no transports 2) I would be  attacking with more expensive units 3) only a portion of my air makes it instead of the full might of Japan 4) I cannot take carolines at good odds 5) I have no incentive to attack.
