i should probably just concede this game now. Something needs to be done about strat bombers they are simply too powerful for the Axis with their interior lines. I think this is the main reason why the very good players win with Axis no matter how high the bid goes

Up to you about conceding, I don’t know if it’s decided yet but I do like my position.
Yeah, a large stack of bombers is hard to defend against since there’s so much flexibility. In my experience it especially makes the middle east hard for the Allies to hold, and there’s a lot of Axis NO money in that area. It’s also a relatively easy strat to play, since there aren’t that many units to keep track of.

i think the rule change should be strat bombers can only be used for land combat they could still do most of the things they do you just wouldn’t be able to use them to force the allies to build a huge gigantic fleet just to be able to land a few guys somewhere useful, really imbalances the game.

There was a guy about 1.5 years ago who postulated that strat bombers are an unbeatable strategy and he played a game vs AWN. After a blunder of AWN Moscow fell G5 but Japan was soon completely down and the guy faced Germany against the rest of the world and at a certain point he disappeared forever - because he was losing. (and so did AWN half a year later and was never seen since then :-/ )
Frankly, I personally think strat bombers are a valid strategy but it needs yet to be proven if they create any kind of imbalance. Lets see how the game vs gamerman ends up on the Europe map as kind of a reference:) (but even if it won’t work against gamer this would not be a proof that it does not work at all)
I so far do not believe that Strat bombers are better than German ground units for a regular Barbarossa and that maybe most players simply don’t know how to adjust to them. But this is also just my theory and needs to get proven. And in addition many players don’t react accordingly well to hard Barbarossa, too.
I still have my doubts if the Axis are really so much stronger or if the Allies are simply harder to play and that maybe almost nobody found the right way to play them…YET.
