I hope the dice balance out. China whiffing is depressing.

Only fair that I deal with some dice setbacks after last game. I was kinda hoping that one of the 80-90% sub battles on G1 would backfire for you but that didn’t happen either. That G1 is pretty solid and seems to be an excellent counter to my bid (provided Allies don’t get lucky and win 1 or both of those sub battles). Allies are tough in Global–even after like 2 years of playing I still can’t decide what I think is the optimal bid or the optimal strategy. It all depends on what G and J do, I suppose.

I have the same issue with the Allies.
As bids get higher, I think some better options will emerge. For example, holding Yunnan on round 1 can significantly weaken Japan (bidding for 1 Chinese inf and two extra Soviet fighters in range of Yunnan).

Hehe at +23 2 figs + Inf might be a bit too tough to attack:D
I guess that bid range brings it back to the reason why 1 unit/territory was introduced because stacking yunnan is supposed to be imbalanced.
Maybe its true, Japan not being able to attack Yunnan J1 is subject to demise. It is a huge difference.Maybe still attacking with Japan (retreat option!) and a Moscow rush is the right answer?
I currently realize that not attacking 110 kind of invites Allies to waive 97 attack as stacking 92 is easy then.
