The first battle was a huge lesson for me in online play, and OOL.
If I was face to face with someone, and saw how the battle was shaking out, I never would have tipped carriers before losing fighters. Instead of the situation I’m in, I’d have 2 loaded carriers defending the zone, and a couple fighters scrambling.
Instead, you’ll be taking over initiative in the pacific, in a theater I have been controlling impressively, because I had no idea how the battle was going. It is a tough way to learn my lesson, but I’ve learned it: ask your opponent to spell out losses on both sides, every turn.
