    @ksmckay Tend to agree, even though one usually sees things from a pessimistic view. I wish there was a nice way to see dice stats other than averages etc. which in itself doesn’t say much because it all comes down to which battles were really important.

    @pejon_88 yep. also no way to judge importance of battles on flow of game. But without a doubt axis have had better luck this game. Allied convoys are definitely under average. I try not to complain but was particularly annoyed at the time.

    @pejon_88 probably. you have given me a few too many openings in Europe and things can go downhill very quickly there. Once pacific or europe starts falling apart it makes things very challenging on the other side of the board if victory isnt imminent.

    @ksmckay Agreed! Wonder if it was neglecting Norway that was the start of it. Should I have stayed and tried to take Moscow, struggled there but needed the money from ME.

    @pejon_88 dont think it was wrong to go for egypt. But you shouldn’t have given up norway so easily for sure. You also didnt need to give me the italian fleet when you did and then greece and NIta were all preventable too. If you had delayed the fall of the med even one more turn things would look very different. It doesnt take much for things to start to collapse.

    Better air positioning at a few key junctures would have helped too (always really).

    @Pejon_88 perhaps under different circumstances I would have given you the chance to correct for that oversight? but even without it Europe was toast and I wasnt interested in dragging this one out.

    Ill post an alternate axis move for the pivotal turn. Norway was not great but not game ending, but mistakes the following turns compounded things to a point where I dont think you would ever have a chance.

    @ksmckay Totally understand. As discussed before the allies would have prevailed and won eventually. This was an obvious oversight that was mainly due to the fact that I stopped focusing 100% a while back when things started going South and I tried playing one move a day. Next time we play, I will have ours as the only game for every reason.

    I have just now started trying to play Germany without a fleet G1 so I need to understand better how to play around that, i.e. keeping Norway longer etc.

    Yes, much appreciated if you would post an alternative way for that round.

    @pejon_88 I would have done something like this (while conserving your decision to go for Egypt).

    What would you have done as allies in this situation? I think allies only play is to go for Normandy here which isnt a great option as losing Normandy isnt the end of the world since it would let Italy run rampant in the med and probably allow axis to take Egypt with only a minor commitment which would contain Russia etc.

    Losing the fleet by itself isnt a huge deal as it usually happens eventually, but you basically gave it away (for a few allied transports).

    I wonder, with only buying 7 land units, isn’t that too little to cope with the USSR?
