    I knew that I would miss a lot and you would be checking off the boxes for the NOs. I’ve been sitting back and watching. I did what I knew. I also figured that losing Moscow in OOB or BM was just as bad. I saved Moscow, I have India, Bombay and London. Yet there is no reward in the NO system. You are at least 20 dollars over where you would be in OOb. This was tailor-made to draw people into a Pac war with island hopping. I can appreciate that. Then give the US two different incomes.

    And to boot, Germany is in the 80s. Why call it balanced mod? When Larry Harris makes a game imbalanced I can deal with it. When others try to fix it and screw it up, I have zero patience. I’ve always hated NOs. They favor the Axis. This is my first and last game of balanced mod. I’d rather play oob with a bid. Just my preference. I don’t have time for the learning curb it would take to get me up to speed. I don’t have time for g36. I don’t even have time for anniversary. I’ll do a review on my youtube channel. Would you mind if i used this game for it? For now let’s keep going. who knows maybe i’ll see the genius. of course, when even the great are bidding in bm my point has been made. It’s so strange.     I think BM3 is rather balanced actually. In a “normal” game the Allies usually get about 20-25 IPC more than in OOB. Atleast in the early game. Mainly due to the NO’s of US, UK (both EU and Pac), Russia and ANZAC. Hmm, actually all of the nations when thinking of it. :laughing:

    Your bomber-spam was pretty scary, building up tremendous pressure from the bat, but the Allies seriously lack both fleet and land. That’s more or less a long-term issue.

    it’s not technically a bomber spam. it’s a rescue Moscow from the previous turns attack. do the battle calc. without the bombers taking out those 5 mechs and 3 tanks what would have been my odds in Moscow? If i can’t solve Moscow with all that men and material, how can i work on other aspects of the game. My goal is to save Moscow, bring the game back to zero and expand back out. bm has made that unlikely.

    obviously you’re a great player. I appreciate you playing with me. I’ll sneak a peek at some of your games, see how you thread the needle of rescuing Moscow and defending the Pac islands. the only appeal it has for me, is that most top tier players are using it and i can’t study their strategies or genius without inhabiting this space.


  • Look at my game with axis-dominion. A truly great player! He’s pushing me around a lot and, it seems, easily.

    His solid strategy for Russia was in our game (a G3DOW) reflected by the purchases:

    1 - 12 inf,
    2 - 12 inf
    3 - 13 inf
    4 - 11 inf, 2 mech
    5 - 5 inf, 2 fig
    6 - repair ab x4 (6 dmg by tac), 1 inf, 6 mech, 1 tank
    7 - repair MIC x3 (lost 1 sb and only did 3 dmg in G6, very bad SBR indeed), 10 inf

    9 - 7 art
    10 - 9 inf
    11 - 7 inf, 1 art

    14 - 8 inf, 1 art

    As you can see Germany has not been able to make a break-through and take down Russia’s income to less than 27-28 IPC. Sure, it’s mostly allocated to the defense of Moscow, but no need at all for foreign air. Not yet atleast.

    Maybe I haven’t played very well. I abstained from italian can-openers, which I think is a big mistake. Would’ve made progress quicker at key moments.
