The global game has a ton of playing pieces, but there’s always room for improvement. Like many people, we 3d printed air and naval bases. I’m curious what pieces others have cannibalized from other A&A editions. This is what we use:
Major Industrial Complex - White complexes from Classic Minor Industrial Complex - Grey complexes from Revised China Artillery - UK artillery from Revised (same color) China Flying Tigers - UK fighter from RevisedWhat runs out? What pieces are there a lot fo extra of?

What pieces tend to run out in Global 1940?

Italian roundels and jap tacs.

For me, I ran out of German mechs along time ago. I’ve used so many in fact that I started using the Japanese mechs on the Europe board for Germany. Even then, I had the Japanese mechs down to only one left in the box.

mechs and tacs for germany,japan

Thanks. I’ve also found the unit counts for the two sets. My next question is - which units don’t you run out of? Especially from the 4 minor powers. some of the answers to this I know, e.g. Russians don’t use up their warships. But what about others - how many infrantry do the French, Italians, and ANZACs need? Tanks? Etc.
-
You never run out of chinese inf. There’s more than one for every territory you could possibly be on.
-
Tactical bombers for japan.
-
Any French unit not on the board at beginning of round one should be extra. France should NEVER build units until the game is beyond doubt.
-
what if you liberate france and germany don’t got enough to do an attack on france, but you don’t got enough to crack germany? Then you might be making french units.

At the end of the game I run out of red chips :)
