      My understanding is that airplane facing is important for a number of things such as returnng fire from the bround in the advanced rules but dog fighting in the air between planes has no facing.

      Actually it was the optional rulesetcalled the “Expanded Rules” that uses aircraft facing, and that ruleset was not widely accepted by the masses, and at the very least is not used in the official WotC tournement rules.

      But yes, they made it more difficult to aircraft from the ground unless it was facing you.

      He definitely cannot board when he’s disrupted.  Unloading I’m notr as sure…

      BUT, given that a Mosin CAN unload when not adjacent to a Commander I’ll give btter that 50% that a disrupted unit can unload.

      Though as I say that it sounds bad…as in doesn’t make sense.

      Too much to drink tonight to lookup the answer…

      This still doesn’t make sense.
      Improvisation—If a Soldier or Vehicle is destroyed in the same hex as this unit, this unit can use the attack values of destroyed unit as long as it remains in the destroyed unit’s hex.

      If the hero is in the E8 and it’s distroyed, he’s distroyed too.

      If a Marine Flamethrower was shooting at Gamer, and Gamer was a scared soldier,
      the chance of instant death is about 22%

      if the same flamer is shooting at Gamer, and Gamer is hiding scared in a tank, the chance
      of instant death is about 9%.

      You can help base decisions about cost effectiveness using that.

      those all sound reasonable, but then it should cost 4.5 points. Of course, the fiery death should apply to ANY soldiers i(probably not vehicles) in the same hex, friend and foe

      how about a stick at the top of this forum that allows us to start cataloging summaries of all the rule disputes and resolutions we get, for ease of perusal.

      for example

      dismounting or loading in the same hex does not trigger defensive fire Gamer cheats, don’t turn your back on him Commanders in vehicles still get their abilities but can’t be targetted. (blech)

      It does indeed slag on DF too.  DF Attacks are still attacks.  Its the same reason that Close Assault can be performed as DF, etc.

      Also with the Hero of the Soviet Union if he rolls a 5 or 6 he “ignores” the Distroyed counter, wtf do you do now? you can’t kill him because he’s already dead, It’s like he gets a free Zombie turn?!?!?!  If you can roll high you have a russian vampire running around the field. :roll:

      Yup, wasn’t it something like 2 soldiers for ever rifle.  (Enemy at the Gate- great movie)  If one soldier died the other soldier was right there to pick up the rifle.  They sure didn’t lack in numbers.
