Good luck. I have something kicking around I’m about to try but am concerned about posting it here since I think my opponent may or may not read these forums 🙂

Suffice it to say, any strategy that does not apply Negative-IPC pressure to Germany (or Japan, although, I don’t have a clue how any KJF strategy would work) prior to Round 4, and applies significant threats to multiple German key territories, to me, spells automatic failure for the Allies.

I told you the game wouldn’t let me do that turn. I think we have to restart, but I really only want to play live. I think it is just much easier.

We are working on a How-to-Play video for 1942.2 that will be finished soon. It is a detailed look at every aspect of the rules with lots of examples. It can be watched all the way through by a new player or used as companion to the rulebook. I worked with a number of the games top players and a few educational experts to make sure everything is accurate and easy to understand. Yes, it is a very long video.

We are in the final editing process now. We look forward to sharing it with the community in the coming days.

I got the map printed for buddy ( not Barons version) and here is a few pics of map and his painted pieces

We are currently in the process of doing a tournament and we are down to the last semi-final game, but we’ve had 13 completed games so far.  Here are the results:

Allied bid (winner)

16 (Allies)
12 (Axis)
10 (Axis)
9 (Axis)
21 (Axis)
9 (Allies)
11 (Allies)
5 (Axis)
9 (Axis)
15 (Allies)
22 (Axis)
12 (Axis)
20 (Allies)

So we’ve had 8 Axis winners and 5 Allied winners.  The Avg is 13.15.

Obviously, this is a small sample size, but it gives you an idea where bids are coming in for some competitive games.  The Allies have some wins at 9 and 11, but in the more competitive type games your probably going to want to go 13,14+ and get near or above 15 if you can.  The Allies scored 2 more wins at 15 and then 16.
Axis were 6-2 with bids 14 and under.  And then 2-3 with bids 15+.

We have illegal Bangladeshies making our curries in Hereford.
