? Nobody’s saying Formosa should be Chinese (and it isn’t under out of box rules). barnee is asking for Hainan to be Chinese. Hainan was only conquered by the Japanese in 1937 alongside the other original Chinese territories.
@barnee Maybe you can ask The Captain to make Hainan originally Chinese in his house rules.
I’ve been doing some self play, and my preliminary estimate is that eliminating victory cities lets allies get away with about 20 less bid. That’s still a fairly rough estimate, but it does enable some very different allied strategies, it also lets them not have to force certain defenses as much as they otherwise need to, so they cna focus on income and positional advantage.
@Gargantua interesting strategy. What do you attack with your mobile force? Do you hit the main stack moving forward to moscow or do you wait from the flanks to attack his rear?
I think the succes of your strategy depends on how you use this mobile force, hence my question.
Yes, but only in the Pacific version. If you are playing global, then they start minor and upgrade when the U.S. goes to war, unless the U.S. pays to upgrade them before.
Is this true?
yeah, as it was in Alpha3 and as it remains in 2nd Ed.
