I never had such a decision to do so to randomize was/is imo the best way to avoid any result orientated bias.
If it is common practice we could establish it from now. But as we discussed already, this should happen too often. -

However: I still believe that to randomize is the best way to handle such things because it avoids that one could be influenced by the seen dice - despite the fact that some dice have to be rolled. So I am happy do allow such edits in the future, I would simply stick to roll dice in that cases.
