  • I have no clue as where to look in the file. I am leaning towards scrambling, but only if you roll on the forum (which seems to be possible). The reason I feel this, is because its a high variance battle and the forum dice roller is a bit more fair from what I read anyways. Al tho I guess in this case it would end up badly for me for some reason.

    If a minor battle was forgotten until after dice were rolled, it would have to be rolled separately in forum.  Or to overcome a known TripleA bug (combining SBR’s and tac bombing raids comes to mind) would be another compelling reason.

    Otherwise the dice server is the standard method - we all use the same dice server unless we both agree, and I do not agree to use another method just because you are nervous about the results (I don’t recall your complaining about the dice server in the Russian blood bath…).

    As much as I despise the dice at times, on principal I don’t believe in the ability to pick and choose your dice server based on the scenario at hand.  If we had agreed to use 100% in-forum dice, then that’s what we would be using throughout the game.  The dice server may swing one way or another at times, but it’s a demon we all have to face equally, and in all scenarios (except reasons that compel a in-forum roll).

    But mainly I am squeezing my “play time” in-between bouts of my wife harping on me and my kids trying to kill each other, and I just don’t have the time to unravel the results of the forum dice server for a standard combat :P

    So the question remains…scramble Turkey?

  • Well scramble seems pointless since you aren’t attacking my ships. Intercept on the other hand is also a no. I prefer to keep my planes and as much as I like seeing you get diced, I tested it and it happens the other way around just as much.

    Another compelling reason would be if there was a large and complicated battle, such as a multi national allied defense that has strategic implications, that would need a turn by turn OOL - maybe.

    So…exceptions to the norm.
