    Italy feeling bold enough to move out, I see…

    I’m worried that I’ve blown the game but we’ll see how it goes.  I might be able to turn it around.


  • Benito is most likely feigning a move. The weather is too nice to leave the peninsula.  :-D

    As far as blowing the game I thought I was doing OK until you sank my navy after the ill fated Malayan invasion. Lots of Japanese boats and planes on the Pacific floor, and Germany has its hands full. When we finish I would love to talk strategy about this one.

    This is a very complex game. Much different than the old version I remember playing. Seems like we used to just buy stuff and smash it into each other. Lots of thinking required with this one. The naval and air bases really make a difference. i have to pay close attention.

    Yeah, the majority of my losses as the Allies come from losing a naval battle that I didn’t expect.  Some of that is impatience coming from the fact that it just takes forever and a day to get a major attack into play- and while you are sitting back marshaling your forces, the Axis is running rampant.  I actually invaded the Balkans 1 turn earlier than I really wanted since it seemed Russia could use a little immediate relief.
