    OK.  Finished the battle, you lost a sub plus a tip net.  I landed your fighter in Japan, but no reason you couldn’t edit that over to Korea if you would prefer.  I think both Kama’s hit, but the battle board still had my DD in place, so not sure what happened there.  Regardless, my fighters missed round two so I dont think I got an extra hit out of it.

    Another plan that looked “not bad”, but isn’t quite good enough!

    well, something isn’t working right now.  The American turn didn’t post, and when I tried to edit my chinese turn to NCM my fighter the game engine wouldn’t let me add it back.  Not sure if you know how to do that?  I wanted to land it in Shensi province.

    Eek that is one of the most serious engine bugs….wish it had occurred to me to mention it.  China edit doesn’t work.  I guess I should post that somewhere clearly so everyone is aware.

    I had a look at the kamis and it went fine…all the kamis for the dd rolled 3.  So only the cruiser was killed by kamis.

    One time an opponent managed to win this battle, after my kamis missed.  So I was a little worried!  But I estimate that with the kamis in there the Allied odds of winning are 5% or less.  I think I need an extra dd to get it down to under 1-2%.

    Re the China fig we’re pretty much screwed.  I reported this bug before, but it hasn’t been fixed yet.  If more people report it, the programmers are more likely to fix it.

    you describe the problem and upload a save file, and hopefully the bug gets fixed in the next release.  Most bugs get fixed really quickly.  Open source is pretty cool!

    I guess just use a brit of usa fig to represent the china fig, and if you have an opportunity to make an attack with it we can work out a sensible compromise.

    I can see two workable solutions

    The easier is as you propose.  Simply use the editor to create US forces in china for “attack” and then edit them back out after.

    The other option would be to roll back to the US turn and recreate it until it looks like the map I uploaded C1.

    I’ll see how today at work goes and if I can make that happen.

    Right your 2nd idea would work fine–just play the usa turn in local mode and then edit the results to match the dice.  And do the same with China.
