    Took with a few more units than average so that will make it tough.  Its hard to believe how much Germany can get at Russia so quickly.  Other than the 3 bombers all of the russian battle was purchased by turn 2.  Faster than normal b/c I don’t think you realized how much I could bring.  With Russia being so aggressive you had a lot fewer units around then you probably needed to stave off a G5 attack.  Though if you could have held out a little longer the aggression might have paid off well.


  • Yes, you did a great job with sheer aggression. I’ve never seen a G1 assault on Russia before in probably 30+ games of global, so I’d say we were all unprpared for the speed of it. We certainly wouldn’t have adventured both north and south if we had seen the writing on the wall. To be honest, the G1 attack looked like a mistake to me… I won’t make the mistake of overconfidence again!

    So we should have kicked our newby out to give ourselves the best chance of winning.  Or do you not believe that a single player with your experience didn’t have the advantage?  I would not have commented at all if you had not made a snide remark about Russia falling to our newer player.  You are a very good player and obviously now to me anyway, full of yourself.  I have no problem with losing or your excellent play, but the nature of this tourney was to get people together and teach new people, it was not to rub it in the new people’s faces when you do better than them.

    Ksmckay, you did play a good Germany, and even though it was frustrating losing Moscow so quickly, I learned quite a bit and I am glad of the experience. There is no need for you to make such unsporting remarks against my play as Russia or the game thus far. This is supposed to be a game of learning for newer players, and above all just to enjoy ourselves. I have been having fun so far, and even after your immature remark, I will continue to enjoy this game and many others.
