  • Why would you roll my battle? Should I have rolled first before posting?

    I needed to know how many hits you scored before deciding my ool. If you scored 4 or more hits i would have lost the bombers. Lots of times it is best not to give your ools before the battle as low probability rolls can change your decision and it can give your opponent an advantage if they know how your ools in advance.


  • Noted. I will, in the future, perform my roll on my turn before asking for order-of-loss. Just as you wanted more info, so did I - I wanted to see the Novgorod battle first.

    Since this is our first time playing each other, we seem to be getting hung up on mechanics - we’ve been handling ool before rolls up until this point.

    When we first started the game I asked how you wanted to handle ool, pre or post roll, and I think we’ve done it the same way every time. I’m sure you can understand my confusion.

    sorry, i guess i should have waited for you to roll as the attacker you can decide which battle to roll first to get the advantage of knowing what you want to do for following battles.  i was trying to speed things up as opposed to waiting for you to roll your first round, then get my ool, then you roll again.

    as this was my fault you can roll the novgorod  battle first and then reroll the first round of the egypt battle if you prefer.

    sometimes i will give my ools ahead of time if  do not think it matters. sometimes i will ask for ools with scramble orders from my opponent and they can give them both at the same time or wait untill the first round to provide the ools if they feel like it would give me an advantage.

    i do not think these little miscommunications are that big of a deal. each time we have quickly and appropriately resolved them.
