    This is not my decision anymore. I’m on defense, and when i order scramble, i cannot retreat the planes when i want. They have to stay as long as combat is going on in the sz they defend.
    So you can chose to retreat anytime you like because you’re the attacker, but i have no choice but to figth with all the units declared until the resolution of the combat.

    Ok, i reviewed the combat, and it appears there is a mistake.

    The AC is a 2 hit warship. So since i did 6 total hits on your units, you technically have one unit left, and my transports are dead.

    You have one unit remaining ( i would strongly suggest to you a fgt  :-) ) and you have to declare where it is. If you want to keep the CA or the damaged AC, it has to be in sz97, if you want to keep a plane, then it has to land in Mal.

    So, what do you chose ?

    Thanks for being a little patient with me for this being my first game.

    I hope to give you a little challenge anyway; I know I will be learning a lot just through this first game.

    Man if the navy keeps hitting like this, future pacific and other battles will be tough…

    Also, for future rounds, UK europe and UK pacific have to be played simultaneously. You don’t get to separate the CM and NCM  of UK and India. You buy for UK and Ind (with their respective income) at the beginning of the round, then you do all your CM, then conduct all combats, then all NCM, place units and Income phase.

    Don’t worry, you’re doing good here. You have read some tips and strats on the forum before playing, because all your moves and purchases are fine from what i have seen so far.

    And there is so many rules in this game, than i can’t recall having ever played a complete game without any mistake from my part…

    I’m sorry, but see, i also just made a mistake ! If we consider the last fgt in this battle was coming from Malta, then it has 3 mov remaining.

    so you can chose wherever you want to go with 3 mov from sz97. If this change your strat (as you could now stack your units on Alx + fgt), then feel free to proceed with any NCM change you want.

    I’ll wait for this to be all cleared before i go with Italy.

    I found something else : UK starts with 28 IPC to spend, not 20. So feel free to also change your UK1 purchases. And also: UK collect 38 + whatever they have left from their purchase phase.

    So, to sum it up:

    1- you have 28 on hand, and you can change your buy accordingly.

    2- You have to land your sz97 fgt where you want (it can be malta, but there are other territories to land if you prefer).

    3- You can redo any NCM you want.

    4- you have to correct the UK IPC chart. You have 28 (territories) + 10 NO + what you eventually saved.

    Just post a final map before i go with Italy, please.

    It’s always great to play against nice people like you.

    I bought 3 additional Inf (1$ saved for UK) so this changes there total to $39.
    My units will stay in Egypt, the fgt will land in Algeria.

    New map attached, yes I read some of the common guidelines before playing at least once, I didn’t read too much into people’s games, just checked a few quickly to get the just of it.
    Anything from here on is just me playing it by previous experience from Revised…

    Do you know where Italy was convoyed?

    I don’t see any allied subs around Italy controlled zones with convoy routes

    Italy is convoyed in sz 72 by the french dd for 1 IPC. every warship can convoy raid (in fact, don’t remember if AC can convoy raid but all the others warships can that’s for sure).

    I do recall reading that, thank you for clarifying, little things to remember like you said; might be almost worth it to take $1 away a turn, haven’t played enough games yet.
    I do know losing a lot of the Italian navy has to hurt, I guess too bad I didn’t move more air power into the region maybe.
